Poor quality bike

Within weeks of buying this bike, I had to take it back to shop for repairs 2 times. The shocks started making squeeky noise when riding. The front gears would not change correctly, most of the time getting stuck at 2nd gear failing to mobe to 3rd gear. I took back to Canadian Tire to fix these, and after I got it back, the gear cable snapped. Had to take it back again to get it repaired. My old SuperCycle never had any such issues. I am extremely disappointed with the Raleigh bikes so far!

Great Bike

Have no complaints about the bike, it is light weight and easy to ride. Really happy with this purchase.

Change original tires and feel the difference

Purchased 2 yrs ago. Buy when on sale. Get it tuned correctly. (CT bike tech varies in my opinion), Original tires have higher rolling resistance. Changed to road tires of 700x35c supporting 60+ psi and the bike was much enjoyable to ride for me. Why I bought this bike? Owned Raleigh bike in the past and see good value. Quality parts, aluminum frame (lighter than steel), standard parts for easy maintenance / upgrades.

Great bike, but...

First review was moderated, so read between the lines here. Good bike, but make sure you take it somewhere professional to get tuned up and assembled properly before you ride it in traffic.
